We pay about 00 a year (!!!! yeah, I know!!) for our insurance and it doesn’t cover contents, lanai or the pool. It’s forced by the mort. co. because we couldn’t find any. We’ve called brokers and no luck. Help!! Pasco County Florida, on 1.25 acres, no mh park.

Call your nearest Farmers Insurance Company. They sell Foremost which is for manufactured homes. I got an OLD mobile home insured through them. You will always pay more when the lender places the coverage. Heck, call the insurance company yourself and see if they will cover you without going through the mortgage company. Obviously they are already covering you so why wouldn’t they want to deal with you directly?
